Nose The most notable aspect of the aroma is how muted it is. Very subtle summer fruits and freshly harvested wheat. The slightest hint of new leather.
Palate Silky honey flows over the tongue in a thin layer. Some nutmeg comes through, but not so much as to take away from the approachability. Some wheat transfers from nose to tongue, alongside a touch of rye. The drink is easy.
Finish Virtually no heat and a surprising dark maple appears out of nowhere. Wheat and honey linger for a short time, but fade after the swallow. In line with the rest of the flavor aspects, the finish is muted and doesn’t linger. Expected finish for an easy drinker.
Story A seaside summer on a barrier island sidestepping sea turtle nests tucked away in driftwood labyrinths. Maritime wind whips across you, shivering in sunlight. Wild horses and ruined estates make plain the consequences of time.
