Nose Initial aroma offers dry peanut shell, rye spice, and light citrus in a buried layer. As the whiskey rests, the nose transforms—roasted peanut scents intensify and juicy hard candy emerges.

Palate The notes of juicy hard candy and rye grain lead the charge from the nose into the palate. The mid-palate is full and bready with hints of more to come. As the flavors bloom deep on the tongue, toasted marshmallow takes center stage and black pepper tries to make its way in.

Finish While the finish has less stamina than anticipated, it is thrilling. Black pepper lingers well into the end of the aftertaste. The whiskey drinks well below its proof, and other spice notes emerge for a showing: nutmeg and light cinnamon.
