Nose Sandalwood and teak. Wood barbeque. A walk in a maritime forest. Whispers of anise and fennel on a charcoal censer. A brackish pool.

Palate An initial sweet and intense rush: Maple, vanilla, ginger. In the mid-palate, a black peppercorn note contrasts the syrupy sweetness. Briny salinity rounds out the swig.

Finish Tobacco ash, bitter, long. Gentlemanly. High stamina and a pleasant, medicinal swallow. Drinks below proof.

Story Meandering boardwalks, marked by time. Southern magnolia and rusty staggerbrush. Wild horses, returned to instinct, while a castle submits to decay. The bog was never willing to be tamed.
